The biblical site of Jerusalem
An archaeological dig near Jerusalem unearthed a building belonging to an ancient settlement thought to be on the site of Eglon.
According to the Bible, the city fought against the Israelites as part of a coalition of five Amorite kings and was later listed as belonging to the tribe of Judah.
Scholars have questioned whether King David actually existed or if he was a mythical figure and they particularly doubt the size of his kingdom as described in the Bible.
Modern site of Jerusalem
The scriptures confirms how the other nations remained in our land. Know we can understand how and why the Jew-ish people today occupy our Land.
2 Kings 17: 24 -33
".......And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them. ......They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence."
